Discovering the Hidden Code- Titanic Museum

A GALLERY OF MYTHOLOGY AND ARTEFACTS

Titanic and the Morse Code

1,635 souls out of the 2,340 people on board were lost along with the Titanic. The tragedy has left thousands of people in sorrow and mourning for the lost of their family and friends. People understand the story of the Titanic through films 'A Night to Remember' and 'Titanic' but understanding the tragedy through the messages sent through Morse code gives another perspective and meaning to the tragedy. Morse code had such an influential part to play in the disaster but the public doesn't really realise this because it has been overshadowed by the moment the Titanic hit the iceberg which sank the ship.

PROJECT MANIFESTO

A public museum was to be designed on the Albert Docks in Liverpool in which artefacts from the Titanic disaster can be exhibited. The artefacts that are to be exhibited in this building are the crucial distress messages that were sent to and from the Titanic after it hit the iceberg. The journey through the building would tell a story reliving the experience and atmosphere of the tragedy in an architectural manner.
