ABOUT
With my friend, Daniel Stroh as director, we shot and directed this music video together. The intention was to draw on influences such as The Lighthouse, as well as old German expressionist filmmaking from the 1920s (Dr Mabuse, Nosferatu, and so on) to create a universe in which the protagonist is in a struggle with her inner demon, and ultimately gives in to its insanity. Hence the use of split screen, which we felt conveyed certain notions of schizophrenia and an overall unease as viewer.

You can see an excerpt from the music video below.
TECHNICAL AND AESTHETICS
We shot the project on a Canon C200 with a variety of Canon lenses, and of course the classic Helios 58mm f/2.0, edited, graded and effects in DaVinci Resolve. The aim was one of having a dark monochromatic image with filmic qualities that almost resemble the roughness of films such as Cassavettes' "Faces" that were shot on a high contrast 16mm film.
