The aim of the Bory Park assignment is to transform the already existing paved areas, currently used for parking, into an active green park with the possibility of spending free time. The main motive was the reshaping of the entire area and the connection of the forecourt of the shopping center and the BORY hospital. The area under consideration is located in the Lamač district of Bratislava. This is a development area that is expanding northwest of the center of Bratislava. The entire Bory project includes a combination of residential apartment buildings, services and shops. The current problem in the entire territory is the absent public space. The expected number of visitors has been increasing over the years, so the demands for public spaces in the newly emerging residential district in the capital city are also naturally growing. Part of the requirements for the project itself is the expansion of the area of the shopping center by 5,000 to 6,000 m2 of gross floor area.
PARK x SQUARE
The ratio to which extent the new public space should be a park or a square is a priority for us in the entire proposal, so that we meet the requirements of all its users. The plot is bordered by the Bory hospital, the Bory Mall shopping center, the planned parking garage and the construction of the Bory bývanie residence, which is currently underway. When designing, we took into account the nature of the territory, the primary users, the walking routes in the territory and the goals that we would like to achieve in our territory.
CONCEPT park x square
Our solution is designed to follow the architecture of the Italian architect, who is the author of the already mentioned Bory Mall - Massimiliano Fuksas, that is why we chose the curve. The curve is an organic shape, the circle is welcoming, safe and endless. It is thanks to the curve that we managed to create that the proposed extension undulates without beginning or end, "as if" disappearing.
MATERIAL AND DISPOSAL SOLUTION
When creating the park, we further thought that it would be multi-purpose, serving people and for people. We divided it conceptually into several parts in order to make it more pleasant for all visitors, whether they came with the intention of visiting a hospital or a shopping center and took them out to spend time outdoors. We decided to place a water feature, higher park greenery, and in the "heart" of the entire area we located a small active square that can be transformed into several forms according to the intended use. A multi-purpose ribbon weaves through the entire park, it is a structure that is part of the exterior furniture, public transport stops and it is thanks to it that it is possible to create various nooks and crannies. For pedestrians, the entrance to the park is possible directly from the tram tracks through the shaped residential staircase. The extension is designed as a two-story skeleton structure that connects to the already existing module of the load-bearing construction system, the facade of the building is translucent.
Cieľom zadania Bory Park je pretvoriť už existujúce spevnené plochy, v súčasnosti využívané na parkovanie, na aktívny zelený park s možnosťou trávenia voľného času. Hlavným motívom sa stalo pretvorenie celého územia a prepojenie tak predpriestoru nákupného centra a nemocnice BORY. Riešené územie sa nachádza v mestskej časti Lamač v Bratislave. Ide o rozvojové územie, ktoré sa zväčšuje severozápadne od centra Bratislavy. Celý projekt Bory zahŕňa kombináciu obytných bytových domov, služieb a obchodov. Aktuálnym problémom v celom území je absentujúci verejný priestor. Predpokladaný počet návštevníkov sa rokmi zvyšuje a tak prirodzene rastú nároky aj na verejné priestory v novovznikajúcej obytnej štvrti v meste hlavnom meste. Súčasťou požiadaviek na samotný projekt je aj rozšírenie rozlohy nákupného centra a to o 5 000 až 6 000 m2 hrubej podlažnej plochy.
PARK x NÁMESTIE
Práve pomer do akej mieri má byť nový verejný priestor parkom alebo námestím je pre nás v celom návrhu prioritou, tak aby sme vyhoveli požiadavkám všetkých jeho užívateľov. Parcela je ohraničená nemocnicou Bory, nákupným centrom Bory Mall , plánovaným parkovacím domom a výstavbou rezidencie Bory bývanie, ktorá aktuálne prebieha. Pri navrhovaní sme brali do úvahy povahu územia, primárnych užívateľov, pešie trasy v území a ciele, ktoré by sme v našom území radi dosiahli.
KONCEPT park x námestie
Naše riešenie je navrhované tak aby nadviazalo na architektúru talianskeho architekta, ktorý je autorom už spomínaného nákupného centra Bory Mall - Massimiliana Fuksasa, práve preto sme zvolili krivku. Krivka je organickým tvarom, kruh je prívetivý, bezpečný a nekonečný. Práve vďaka krivke sa nám podarilo vytvoriť že navrhovaná prístavba sa vlní nemá začiatok ani koniec, "akoby" sa strácala.
HMOTOVÉ A DISPOZIČNÉ RIEŠENIE
Pri tvorbe parku sme ďalej uvažovali tak, aby bol viacúčelový, slúžil ľuďom a pre ľudí. Rozdelili sme si ho pomyselne do viacerých častí tak, aby sme spríjemnili pocit pre všetkých návštevníkov, či už prišli za zámerom návštevy nemocnice alebo nákupného centra a vytiahli ich tráviť čas v exteriéri. Rozhodli sme sa pre umiestnenie vodného prvku, vyššej parkovej zelene a v "srdci" celého územia sme situovali malé aktívne námestíčko, ktoré sa môže transformovať podľa zámeru využitia do viacerých podôb. Celým parkom sa preplieta viacúčelová stuha, ide o konštrukciu, ktorá je súčasťou exteriérového mobiliáru, zastávok mestskej hromadnej dopravy a práve vďaka nej je možné vytvárať rôzne zákutia. Pre peších je vstup do parku umožnený priamo nástupom od električkových tratí cez tvarované pobytové schodisko. Prístavba je riešená ako dvojpodlažná skeletová konštrukcia, ktorá nadväzuje na už existujúci modul nosného konštrukčného systému, fasáda objektu je translucentná.
