There aren't many homes that can boast a zebra with attitude in the dining area, but the future residents of this luxury residence in Victoria Island in Lagos, Nigeria, are ensured of a talking point with guests.

(ABOVE) A dark wood scheme was the preferred option for the entertainment unit and accessories in this living room. The dramatic zebra patterned carpet is very much in keeping with the desired concept to honour the fact this luxury residence is located in Africa, a continent which is widely associated with the wilds of nature.

(ABOVE) Most diners would be focused on their food, but those of us working in architecture and interior design would be tempted to instead turn our heads up to check out the fabulous wooden slats which are located on the ceiling of this dining room.

Once again the African influence is clear. The beautiful marble floor and contemporary furniture are accessorized by smaller, but no less eye-catching, pieces of African art.
