Lord of a Rings was very popular at the time that I did this drawing and it certainly inspired the elf woman and personified trees I depicted.  It is a work of my pure creative expression and love for fantasy art and literature.  I am drawn to using vibrant colors in my art, so I used strong layering and burnishing of the colored pencils as my technique.
