SoundHound is a music search engine that is available in various platforms. For this project I wanted to focus on the Android platform. I wanted to create something beautiful yet easy for the users to navigate.
The typography for this project, is elegant and able to be seen in every Android phone. I used the standard typeface of android phones, but choose differents weights of the family to create heirachy and balance. Colors used are from the SoundHound icon logo; this was used to keep the look consistent
I always found the search bar to be distracting and it gets in the way of the SoundHound logo. What I've done is the search bar will only pop up if the magnifying glass icon is clicked on.
The Charts page was my favorite to design. This let's the user enjoy the album art without clicking to the songs page as well as listen to the song if wanted.
The song page let's the user see the information of the artist as well as other media from them
History, oh history! what's a song search engine without it's history page?
The world map let's the user enjoy what the people around them are listening locally or globally.
