    Product, Packaging and Brand design for Voodoo Vodka. Voodoo Vodka is an alcohol branding and packaging project aimed at young adults. It is stylistically based on Americana style graphics and prohibition-era bootleg themed packaging. In the early nineteen hundreds New Orleans Voodoo priestess or ‘mambo’ affectionately called ‘The Widow Orleans’ distilled a series of elixirs sold to neighbours, clergymen and policemen alike in clandestine gatherings. Despite many peoples great caution toward those that practiced Voodoo, the elixir became famous city-wide. The onset of prohibition soon had The widow Orleans close her distillery doors to the public. Folklore tells us that while the doors may have officially closed a window may have been left open. It was whispered that the same patrons could be seen brandishing the coveted elixir in the dead of night. Wild stories circulated for years of ritual ceremonies held in darkened areas of the city. Today, with prohibition long forgotten we have re-opened those distillery doors. It is still advised that the widow’s elixir be consumed in darkened corners, among wild stories in the dead of night.
