Montrose harbor in the fog

Bottom layer. Under exposed shot. I used this picture to enhance the dark exposure pieces of this shot in the final picture.
This shot would be more of what I wanted in an exposure if I wanted to have one shot to represent what I was looking at. The picture you see here actually represents the actual colors of the scenery that I was shooting. However, as I stacked the pictures using layers in photoshop, I tinkered with the different layer settings until I achieved a balance with the elements I wanted from each picture.
This final shot is an over exposed shot. This is the layer where I manipulate the layer styles in photoshop to achieve the balance that I want with my lighting and the illuminated objects in the picture like the light shining on the water, the illumination of the boats, etc.
The final product is a blend of all three pictures, along with a bit of tweaking the saturation, intensity, clarity and contrast.
I love feedback because I am constantly trying to grow and learn more. So, if you care to comment, please do. Thanks.

Brian.
