The brief challenged me to design a brochure, bag and extras to encourage readers towards a certain genre.
I chose to tackle bringing Classic books to new readers, and to encourage those who had read these novels to view them with new eyes.
"Classic" in terms of novels usually implies aged papers, grungey colours, rough textures and so on. To give this genre a new feel, none of these were allowed.
I settled on a bright solid colour scheme, with a screen printed style. The screen print harks back to classic art methods while still allowing the designs to feel more modern
Badges were made as collectibles, to encourage younger readers to return
