Refreshed For Adventure
Squamish, loosely translated, it means “Mother of the Wind” and “people of the sacred water”. The Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) have lived and thrived here for many thousands of years, forging a resilient culture and powerful connection to the lands and waters.
A spectacular backdrop of rainforest, volcanic mountains, rivers, and ocean sets the stage for incredible year-round activities. Play in the elements in every season and connect with nature at your own pace, from gentle nature walks and peaceful paddles to heart-pumping activities like kiteboarding and mountain biking. It’s no wonder why they’ve landed on the New York Times ‘52 Places to Go’ list more than once.
The previous website was a decade old and needed a design refresh and content restructure to accommodate the ever-growing Squamish visitors from all over the world. We collaborated on the overhaul of UX and design. By developing a number of painstakingly refined and scalable UI elements, the website is able to accommodate a wide range of current, new and future content in a timeless and user-centric aesthetic.
