This brand of Irish Whiskey pays homage to the ancient illuminated manuscripts of Ireland, where monasteries had a history of pot distilled whiskey going back as early as the 6th century.
One of the processes of illuminating a manuscript was the application of burnished gold dots on the parchment replicated here on the front of the bottle. It’s further reinforced with top dipped in gold wax.
