Masterproject - Streetologie of Eindhoven & Hasselt
For this project, I developed a system in which a city can be displayed in its own form. I developed several general construction elements, which can be used as basis for the construction of other cities. A distinction is made between normal houses, social or economic properties. The way in which these basic elements are placed can create or break the rhythm, strengthen uniformity or differences. Thus the identity of a city can be displayed without changing the basic elements. Ultimately, the cities of Eindhoven and Hasselt will be compared. Due to historical, social, economic and social differences, the two cities will be quite distinct but the basic elements will be the same.
