MX DRUMMER’S SS24 COLLECTION ‘OUTDRESS THE BRIDE’ SEES A CACOPHONY OF ELEVATED FABRICS MIXED WITH DARING SIHOLUETTES TO CELEBRATE THE QUEER FORM AND SHOUT ‘HERE I AM’!

IT MAY BE THE BRIDES’ BIG DAY BUT ALL EYES ARE ON YOU AS YOU SAUNTER THROUGH THE CEREMONY FEIGNING INTEREST ON HAPPENINGS KNOWING ONCE AGAIN, YOU HAVE OUTDRESSED THE BRIDE.

The collections initial brand board started off highlighting a softer, more neutral feel and aesthetic. While the colour palette adjusted through various iterations the intent of juxtaposition between softness and hardness, interesting silhouettes, unexpected details and subversions of the norm remained until conception.

Below colour palette book ended with white and black and neutrals as an elevated commercial colour made up majority of the collections, with highlights of various shades of pink and red to provide options as well as excitement for the campaign shoot.

The Campaign shoot took place at Alter Electric - a concept wedding venue locations - with colour palette and aesthetic that highlighted the collection as well as leaning into the intent and meaning behind the range. Various red flowers were used throughout the shoot and manipulated in various ways as a metaphor for the collection, brand and queer experience itself.
