Overview
One of my favourite student work pieces, my design for a mock ‘Elektrik Eel’ music festival website was designed and coded from scratch. Fully mobile-friendly and visually engaging, UX fundamentals were at the core of this work.
My design for the Elektrik Eel website takes on board competitor analysis, UX testing and the creation of a brand identity for Elektrik Eel.
I’m stoked to say that I received a High Distinction for this work.
Process
Once brand elements and overall style had been conceptualised, I began with conducting UX testing and research to make sure the Elektrik Eel music festival website struck a chord (pun intended) with the right people.
With the festival designed to be a high-end techno music extravaganza, my website used deep colours, a sophisticated design and a slightly futuristic vibe.
The starting point for development was the basic HTML framework, followed by CSS styling and JavaScript to finish.
