Catcher House by Kazuhiko Kishimoto

Catcher House by Kazuhiko Kishimoto

The “Catcher House” project was based on an existing building that delighted us. For this reason, we tried to accurately reproduce all the architectural values proposed by Kazuhiko Kishimoto. The exterior of the house is covered with vertical wooden boards with a small number of windows. For this reason, the building is safe and provides residents with privacy. A simple covered carport is attached to the front of the house with a matching wooden façade. As we have mapped it on the visualization - doors and glass windows give the interior the illusion of being larger by opening up to the courtyard space. In this modern form, there is also room for trees that break through the terrace boards. The architect also lowered the roofline so as not to obstruct the view of the sky. The use of these solutions allowed to create a unique, functional and aesthetic open-air space.
