Case Study - DopeAss App

Case Study
DopeAss app

DopeAss is an innovative application that connects at-risk youth with rescued donkeys in a meaningful and fulfilling way. Through the app, teenagers can select the donkey they wish to adopt and establish a match, allowing them to begin grooming and building a bond with their new animal companion using a variety of digital methods.

Each donkey in the program is assigned a caregiver and sponsor, ensuring that they receive proper care and attention while also supporting the emotional and social development of the youth involved. By combining technology and animal therapy, DopeAss offers a unique and valuable experience that benefits both young people and the rescued donkeys.

In this project, we carefully considered the relevant cognitive principles to tailor our app for at-risk teens. Recognizing the sensitivity of their social, emotional, and economic circumstances, we added special attention to the Decision-Making and Trust-Building aspects.

Our approach aimed to provide a clear understanding of virtual adoption, and learning to take care of others in need.

We ensured that user engagement progressed gradually, allowing teens to explore the app without the pressure to spend resources they may not have. By prioritizing their well-being and creating a rewarding experience, we aimed to establish a safe and meaningful platform for our users.
