Carlsberg Microbrewery

This brief, set by Carlsberg, asked me to create a new drinks brand marketed towards men, explorers, aged 20-25. I took that to mean that  I had to create an exciting beer that had a 'manly' brand identity, and with a sense of risk to it. The beer that I designed is to be served with a shot of my own Honey Liquer (released through the mechanism shown below) to have an extra kick and a unique flavour. The mechanism inside the bottle would attract the curiosity of the target market, creating bigger sales as it is a more exciting way to drink beer. The packaging is simple but also manly with strong black tones and textures in the logo and on the bottle. I couldn't get the bottle to look realistic enough digitally so I actually created the bottle by sandblasting the pattern of a honeycomb on a clear bottle and then painting the inside of the bottle with a mixture of black acrylic paint and PVA glue (after many failed attempts with other paints like spray paints).
