Chargeboard is a graduation project of Bjorn van den Hout, a student at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam and fanatic longboarder.

The further you seem to be away from a socket the sooner batteries run out! It’s like they think it’s funny. But it isnt..
CHARGE WHILE CRUISING
That’s why I came up with Chargeboard.
A longboard that generates its own electricity through two dynamo’s in the rear axles and stores it right away into a powerbox.

LISTEN TO YOUR MUSIC
What the heck, now I’ve made this lets make it a dockingstation at the same time. So you can charge your phone and listen to your favorite music at your destination.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Pretty easy to be honest. The two dynamo’s in the in the rear axles generate 6V each, this electricity is then converted back to a 5V current and gets stored in to a powerbox. So when you’ll plug your iphone in the dock your phone gets charged and in the meanwhile you can listen to some of your favorite tracks.
