Subtitles, Transcription and Translation
Picture yourself in a bustling Okinawan train station, time slipping through your fingers like grains of sand. Your flight's clock is ticking loudly, but all you see are intricate Japanese signs and an attendant struggling with English. time is running out and you don't even know which train ticket to buy!!!

Hold on tight, because salvation is at hand – Subtitles. This magic at the ticket counter translates your words into Japanese, or any of ten languages, with lightning speed. Visual cues confirm your message hits the mark.

But Subtitles doesn't stop there. It's a superhero for the hearing-impaired and a game-changer in scenarios like bank deals, medical consults, and trade shows. Not to mention, when the world went into pandemic mode, Subtitles' protective screen had our backs.

So, amidst the chaos, remember this: Subtitles isn't just a translator, it's a connector. It turns missed flights into made memories and language barriers into old news. All aboard the train to a world without language barriers!!!
Development
Initial sketches were a little storyboard showcasing the interaction the product would have. We developed it during 2020, so COVID-19 was a big concern still.

Initial form explorations, in parallel I was building the figma wireframe and also sourcing components from China to build the first proof of concept.
More exploration...............
Building components....
Screen implementation. We wanted to go for something with a bit more personality rather than black and white, to highlight that it could potentially be customized for hotels to reflect their brand. We ended up increasing the contrast in the final designs even more, but the core components remained
Building the prototypes.
Refining the CAD model to be ready to house all the components and be easy to assamble.
