VIDEO CONTENT & SHORT FILM PROJECTS
My first degree is in media studies and television production, where I learned journalism/reporting, filming, and video editing skills in preparation to be in the news broadcasting segment. Instead, I fell in love with print advertising and graphic design late in my class studies, but it was during a time that graphic design wasn't quite mainstream (1996-2000). There wasn't a major or minor at many schools, so I continued with my communication degree and took as many advertising and computer graphics courses as I could, while continuing to explore graphic design on my own. 

Here are a few videos I've worked on over the years, using Adobe Premiere, stock video, and prepared graphics or text. You can also view my highly-engaging, successful social media content available on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube for Lil Urban Farm. Those are all edited using CapCut from my phone, and then uploaded to the various social media channels.


Winthrop University: "Academic Advising: The Movie"
ACADEMIC ADVISING: THE MOVIE
This video was for class project where we explored the challenge of improving academic advising at Winthrop University. During our group research, we kept referring to the project as a movie and decided to use that to theme the project for interest. Since I had video editing skills, I offered to create the opening preview to present the initial problem in context and show some of our reviews from a. conducted survey.

CHARLOTTE REGIONAL VISITOR'S AUTHORITY ADS
For the display we showcased at the Charlotte Airport, we collaborated with the CRVA to include highlights and sights from their local campaign. Everything was pulled from their booklet to maintain a consistent visual identity. Some of the transition screens were simple images with text, but we also included a few more dynamic ads to break up the content.

SHORT COMMERCIALS FOR AD OPTICS DIGITAL SIGNAGE NETWORK
The videos below were created for a full-service marketing and digital signage provider showcasing short digital advertising reels looped on networked servers. The content was kept rather simple because the servers we used at the time had very basic offerings, but wherever possible I pulled content into Adobe Premiere to improve the transitions between video clips and text/images.
