This redesign of a local pizzeria menu illustrates contrast in color, font types, and font sizes. I’ve chosen a font for the name of the restaurant that creates an old world, European feel, and a contrasting sans serif font for the items and descriptions for better readability. Accent colors inspired by the main food ingredients, such as the red of the tomatoes, were chosen to draw attention to the fresh ingredients used daily. And because the restaurant is located in an art museum, they have chosen to have fun with artists’ names to label the menu items such as Jackson Pollock and Salvador Dali. I hope this refresh will be well accepted and provide new business to one of my favorite local restaurants.
