Kia is perceived as a value-brand, and not at the forefront of technology. But their vehicles often host better tech than the competition. We wanted to align Kia with innovation, make an emotional engagement with tennis fans at the Australian Open... all working off the brand tagline: 'Power To Surprise'.
 
THE SOLUTION
The Kia Game On App – which turns your phone into a virtual tennis racket. Fans were invited to return a serve from Sam Groth, the World's fastest server, either from their home – via a dedicated website, or live via their TV – or at various live sites and shopping centres around Australia. Literally millions of entries were recorded, news went viral, the App went gangbusters, and grand prize winners scored a Kia Cerato Koup Turbo.
