3 Seconds Everyday

On the 1st of March 2014 I began a project to film 3 seconds of my life everyday as a visual diary, and to transition from my time in uni, into placements and hopefully a job. I plan to have some time out after uni to surf and travel (I'll still be designing for myself and freelance - but not full time), and this project is a way for me to record my time off as well as thinking creatively and learning more about moving image. I want to use it as an opportunity to show my other interests and skill sets. Check the site 3secondseveryday.co.uk to see each month.

UPDATE (JULY)
My plans have changed due to unforeseen circumstances (a dislocated knee whilst showing off surfing on a swell board), and with a summer of recovery ahead, I'm now going to be diving back into the design scene sooner than originally intended. I'm looking for placements to begin in the autumn, and am going to continue with this project until I find myself in a permanent position. It may now serve a slightly different purpose, recording the process of a young designer trying to land the dream job.
Identity
I have given this project a simple identity using the well known symbols for pause and play. The pause represents the break in my career after uni, and the play simply represents playing this time in my life back. They also form my initials, HD. This identity lends itself well to my self promotion.
