Death count of Maui Wildfire climbs to 80

The ongoing Maui wildfire has went onto increase the number of deaths to a reported 80 people, according to reports.

This rare and devastating event is thought to be caused primarily by the steadily decreasing rate of rainfall throughout Hawaii, which has been the cause of increased dry spells across the state.

The wildfire has went onto completely decimate the cultural city of Lahaina, the former capital of Hawaii.

It is believed one of the reasons behind why this natural disaster has gone on to have unprecedented effects was due to the speed of which the fire spread through the affected areas - the emergency systems that were in place which would send notifications through phones was not enough of an efficient method in order to cope with the speed in which the fire was spreading.

Along with the upwards of 80 confirmed deaths so far, the whereabouts of hundreds of people identified by loved ones are still to be found.
