Shootingboard: ABC Magazine - TV Ad

Once an ad agency Art Director, whom I had worked with on many projects over several years in my capacity as a freelance storyboard artist, drove me out to the Barrandov Movie Studio lot to sit in on his meeting with the director he'd hired to create a television ad for a youth magazine that focuses on leisure activities and popular culture. They already knew the locations for the shoot, they knew the angles and lenses, they'd even already cast the main actors and knew what they would be wearing. Working from the typical, generic actor's mugshots and a few photographs of the area, my job was then to set up the necessary shots in quick, simple, black & white line drawings. The actors and locations needed to be recognizable. Not too much detail on the magazine cover, that might change. I added a couple unasked for details, like changing the graffiti seen in the background of one of the shots to read  "ABC" which they ended up using in the commercial.
