Electromagnetism in Porto's Metro system, an overground railway which connects urban and sub-urban areas. Unprocessed field recordings of the electrical activity inside of the rail system.
By using special devices which are sensitive to surrounding magnetic fields, and transforming the captured signals into audio, I was able to record these interesting sounds, bringing forth the electromagnetic dimension to which we are exposed everyday.
I am currently recording the magnetism in London's Underground, so this type of work might turn into a series. 2014
