Death of Cold is a 2-color risograph comic book. The story is a Western set in Northern Arizona where I live. People tend to associate Arizona with heat, but here in Flagstaff, we get a lot of snow in the winter. I wrote and drew the comic over Christmas vacation in between snowy walks around the neighborhood and cozy evenings spent watching Westerns. I love creating artwork for risograph printing. The color and size limitations create constraints that can be challenging but also fun. The book was printed by Risolve in Pennsylvania and I’m really proud of the final product.
