INTRODUCTION
Vera Roasting Co. engaged Kate Putnam of Putnam Marketing as creative partners to reinvigorate their brand with a complete rebrand, manage product launches, and all forms of Marketing collateral.

The task was to create cohesive marketing collateral, synchronize the product messaging across various channels, and execute a strategic plan that would help drive brand awareness and boost sales.

How a New Hampshire Chemist Changed the World
The origin story of Vera Roasting Co. dates back to 2015 when a routine medical examination revealed elevated cholesterol levels in Dr. Glen Miller, a distinguished Professor of Organic Chemistry at The University of New Hampshire. Concerned for his health, he embarked on a quest to incorporate resveratrol, a potent antioxidant, into his diet to lower his risk of heart disease.

As a scientist familiar with the intriguing "French Paradox," Dr. Miller became interested in resveratrol due to its presence in red wine, which appeared to be linked to longevity and a reduced risk of coronary heart disease among the French population despite their predilection for a high-fat diet. 

This sparked his curiosity and led him to explore alternative ways of incorporating bioavailable, soluble resveratrol into his diet.

Dr. Miller's research eventually led him to develop a unique method of infusing freshly roasted coffee beans with resveratrol. 

The resulting product, which delivers the same amount of resveratrol as a glass of red wine, was named "Vera," derived from the Latin word for true. Significantly, the word "Vera" is also found hiding within the word "resveratrol," evoking the sensation of a loving embrace.

With this innovation, Vera Roasting Co. stepped onto the scene, offering customers an exceptional coffee experience while providing the health benefits associated with resveratrol. 

Today, Vera Roasting Co. is a leader in the coffee industry and an example of how scientific innovation can lead to transformative change.

Case Study: Launching Vera Roasting Company's E-Commerce Shopify Website
Putnam Marketing is proud to present a compelling case study on the successful launch of Vera Roasting Company's e-commerce Shopify website. Intending to increase reach and revenue, the company launched its website for its unique coffee blends - Cardio, Immunity, and Calm Blend.

Putnam Marketing was approached by Vera Roasting Company, a CBD-infused coffee brand, to help launch its new e-commerce website. The main goal was to increase organic revenue and website traffic by promoting their unique coffee blends that are infused with resveratrol.

This website also features CBD products. With a unique selling proposition of being the only coffee on the market infused with Resveratrol, the website aimed to target health-conscious coffee lovers.

The following report highlights the impressive results achieved in terms of website traffic and organic revenue since the launch.

NEW LOGO DESIGN
​​​​​​​The original design featured white letters and a water drop with a heart in it, but the update removed the water drop and added a red heart behind the letters "r-a".

This change places emphasis on the heart-healthy ingredient of resveratrol found in Vera Coffee, by drawing the viewer's eye to the heart. 

Overall, the new logo design is bold, memorable, and communicates the brand's focus on health and wellness.

Sales of cold brew coffee jumped to $38.1 million in 2017, a 370 percent jump from the $8.1 million in sales the category saw in 2015 according to this report.

CBD INDUSTRY TRENDS
A survey conducted by the National Restaurant Association had 77 percent of respondents identify cannabis/CBD-infused drinks as the No. 1 trend in 2019.
WEBSITE DESIGN AND CREATION
As part of the Vera Roasting Co. marketing rebrand, we to created two new URLs and landing pages to legally sell CBD products. 

This process led to a temporary dip in website visitors and organic SEO results. However, we saw this as an opportunity to manage our CBD sales more appropriately, and create a more compelling brand experience. 

By revamping our online presence and creating a cohesive brand experience, we were able to successfully continue to attract and engage with our customers.

As part of the Rebrand, I designed the artwork for Vera Roasting Co.'s delivery van, which included incorporating their branding and messaging into eye-catching graphics. 

The design aimed to communicate the company's commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing of their coffee beans, while also highlighting their unique product offerings. 

The final design was a vibrant and memorable representation of the brand and helped to increase awareness and recognition of Vera Roasting Co. among potential customers on the road.
MERCHANDISE
The Merchandise I designed included golf shirts, sweatshirts, and water bottles. 

The artwork was created in a way that incorporated the brand's logo and colors in a visually appealing manner to make the product stand out. 

The goal was to make Vera Roasting Co.'s merchandise not only functional but also stylish and representative of the company's values. 

The designs were developed to create a cohesive line while still highlighting each product's unique features. 

The merchandise proved to be popular among customers and helped to increase brand recognition and loyalty.

To comply with the different laws pertaining to CBD sales at the state and federal levels.

Despite the similar appearance to customers, the differentiation in these websites enabled us to comply with all applicable regulations while still integrating seamlessly with our social media networks, facilitating the sale of CBD oil to a wider audience.
