The God From Sango-Ota

Title Design & Closing Credits.
Client: A Billion Laughs
Title Design.
The God from Sango-Ota is a comedy show written and performed by Olatoyese “Parkhage” Oyediran, Sango-Ota is an actual city in one of the western states in Nigeria, The idea of the montage is to tell a story within a story, the montage itself is a story, It's the story of another God coming to witness Parkahage's show
and attest to the fact that Parkhage is indeed a God and he his one of them.
The entire title montage show cases the journey of this God as he passes through different scenes as he makes his way to the show, The scenes where designed to have an abstract, real and surreal feel to them.

Closing Credits.
The idea for the closing credit is to depict the different elements of this God, By using unique typography, background and color, we were able to showcase a variety of "God Like" elements. We imagined what it would be like for this God to come into contact with earth elements and that's what informed the general aesthetics of the closing credits.

Style Frames From Title & Closing Credits.
Character Design.
The character has a mask on his face because we felt it'd be distracting to have the face of the character visible,  A "masked God" makes for a mysterious character which helps tell the story better and allows for fluidity.
The choice of colour for the costume is a nod to the Nollywood (Yoruba) movies,
Most of the supernatural characters or priests in these movies are don in attires with the red and black colour.
We wanted a character that looked agile, fast, smart, tricky and athletic.
