The integration of artificiality prevails in a progressive age of biotechnology. The design evolution of the human anatomy in the field of prostheses holds multidisciplinary outlook that merits a dedicated discourse. With user-centric objectives, it surrounds principles of aesthetics and ergonomics – an ultimate bespoke product. The Temple examines the need for prostheses, exploring ways the utilitarian body is measured with the degree of significance levied upon human locomotors – analysing external stimuli steering the attitudes toward the human body. In clear manifestations, prostheses mandate weakness, and in its perpetual progress perpetuate such weakness; in acceding to such material developments is to perceive the human body as mere materials. What has become the streamlined body in an integrated society? What are the implications that may ensue?
