I am a designer maker specialising in ceramics. I throw all of my pieces on the pottery wheel because I love the immediate response your actions have on the clay. I am fascinated by the personal connection between the maker and material. Transforming a ball of clay into a fine walled structure never fails to excite me.  

I have been inspired by the idea of ‘leaving your mark’ after finding a series of my late grandmother paintings. The connection I felt is one I have tried to replicate by leaving my mark as the maker in my work; whether it is hypothetically or physically. 

My collection of tableware has been thoughtfully curated to bring people together and to create memorable shared experiences. Distortions within the pieces act as a reminder of the makers hand and a provide a connection between the maker and the user as well as being designed to provide comfort when passing around sharing food.
