Urban EcoVillage
Redefining Urban Living Through Sustainability

The EcoVillage Project is all about combining city life with caring for nature. It's a new way of living where we save the special Polish tradition of Family Garden Allotments and also take care of our environment.

Project Overview
The EcoVillage Project focuses on transforming the ROD Gajowice, a 1.3-hectare plot in Wrocław, Poland, into a thriving urban oasis. This endeavor is driven by the pressing challenge of preserving green spaces amidst the growing urbanization, ensuring a balance between development and the environment.

Key Objectives
The project's core objectives are clear:
Preservation of Traditions:
RODs hold a unique place in Polish culture, carrying over a century of tradition. The project aims to ensure these allotments remain a symbol of both historical significance and sustainable living.
Ecological Sustainability:
The EcoVillage employs permaculture principles to create a self-sustaining ecosystem. By promoting biodiversity, minimal intervention, and natural cultivation, the project demonstrates a holistic approach to agriculture.
Community Empowerment:
The project fosters a strong sense of community among residents. Through shared cultivation, communal spaces, and collaborative events, the EcoVillage encourages connections and relationships that go beyond individual residences.
Urban-Rural Fusion:
By bridging urban convenience with rural serenity, the EcoVillage offers a unique lifestyle. Residents can enjoy the benefits of city life while actively participating in food production and ecological practices.

Benefits and Impact
The EcoVillage Project provides a forward-looking solution to the challenges of urbanization and unsustainable farming practices. By embracing permaculture and communal living, it proposes an alternative model for urban development that values the environment, food security, and human connection.

Design and Implementation
The design of the EcoVillage revolves around modular housing, which blends seamlessly with the environment and minimizes the architectural footprint. The permaculture-inspired cultivation areas ensure efficient food production while enriching the ecosystem. A Community House serves as a hub for gatherings, workshops, and interactions, enhancing the sense of community.

Innovation and Future Prospects
The EcoVillage Project's innovation lies in its ability to transform existing spaces into functional, sustainable communities. Its modularity and replicability make it adaptable to different urban contexts, presenting a vision for future urban planning that aligns with ecological balance.

A Center of Connection
The Community House is more than a building, it's a place where unity thrives and ideas flourish. With sustainable design and adaptable workshop spaces, it's a hub for learning and collaboration. The Community House invites residents and visitors to share knowledge, celebrate sustainability, and embrace a greener future together. Join us in this center of connection to experience the transformative potential of community-driven change.
