리필리는 종이팩에 더 많은 걸 담으려고 합니다. 플라스틱 패키지에 비해 이점이 많으니까요.

① 종이팩은 탄소 배출량이 플라스틱 대비 3분의 1밖에 되지 않고 ② 적재가 효율적이며 ③ 무게가 가벼워 유통 과정에서 화석연료를 덜 사용합니다. 또한 ④ 빛과 산소, 습기, 유해균을 효과적으로 차단하여 내용물을 안전하게 보관하고 ⑤ 깨질 위험이 없어 안전하며 ⑥ 품질이 우수한 천연펄프를 사용해 7~9회까지도 재활용할 수 있습니다.

결국 나무를 베어 만드는 거 아니냐고요? 물론 그렇습니다. 종이를 사용했다고 안심하고 소비해도 되는 건 아니에요. 그럼에도 ⑦ 종이는 다른 어떤 것보다 재활용률이 높은 편입니다. 또한 ⑧ 잘 썩지 않는 플라스틱에 비해 종이는 쉽게 분해가 되고요. ⑨ FSC의 관리를 받는 산림의 경우 지속 가능한 방식으로 운영되는데, 필요한 만큼만 선택적으로 벌목 후 다시 나무를 심어 숲을 재생하는 등 환경에 미치는 영향을 최소화합니다.

We are exploring ways to expand the range of products available in carton packs, not just milk.

Carton packs offer significant advantages over plastic bottles, emitting only a third of the carbon emissions. They are also efficient for stacking and lightweight, reducing the need for fossil fuels in the logistics process. Furthermore, the layers in the pack effectively block light, oxygen, moisture, and harmful bacteria, making them a safe choice. Additionally, paper used in carton packs can be recycled up to nine times.

Paper has a higher recycling rate compared to other materials and is easily decomposed, unlike plastic. While we do use wood in the production of carton packs, we are committed to responsible practices and strive to minimize tree cutting. Forests certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) are managed in a sustainable manner.

Given the numerous benefits of carton packs, it seems wasteful to limit their use to beverages alone. We are planning to introduce a variety of carton pack products after thorough testing, and we hope you will soon be able to find them in stores.
