Irina SA — branding & identity

Through a wide spectrum of customized and high quality services like individualized tourism, healthcare organization and advice on education, this Swiss company strives to show the best of Switzerland to foreigners and make their stay as enjoyable as possible, while helping locals, often unaware of nearby curiosities, to rediscover their own country. The visual identity expresses the mission of the company.
The yellow background suggests the company’s core service – tourism. The color of the sun, joy and communication between people. A high-contrast dark blue logo reads well from any distance. The lower-case letter “r” followed by an “i” could visually merge into an “n”, so I eliminated all doubt with a capital “R”. The graphic above the name symbolizes 2 persons and echoes the 2 letters “i”. The 6 dots form an almost perfect symmetry.
The web site expands the visual identity system I have created for the company. I applied the “one image speaks a thousand words” principle and gave maximum space to my photography. Text blends over the pictures. I later extrapolated elements of the site’s design to the company’s printed brochures and advertising, to create a global, consistent look across all media.
