I was tasked with creating the visual identity for an HBO documentary series centered around the vibrant Polish LGBTQ+ burlesque scene, titled "Nago. Głośno. Dumnie" (Naked. Loud. Proud.). The project encompassed designing the series logo, opening title, and various animations featured throughout the show, including succinct profile animations for each of the cast members.
To tackle the challenge, I opted to utilize analog paper cutouts to add a touch of playfulness and levity while delicately addressing the nudity aspects. Illustrations were showcasing various body parts and gadgets related to the burlesque performance. The background was crafted by scanning real velvet material, the same fabric used for the stage curtain, adding a touch of authenticity to the design. These artful cutouts became a vivid representation of the show's spirit and the unapologetic celebration of freedom.
