///Pixelated/8bit Design Tutorial///

Hey Guys! here's a short tutorial on "how to do 8bit design!"
after some experiments has been done, this is one of the quickest way and exact way (pretty sure ?)
Ok lets get started!
Step 1 : Place any design or image you prefer in Adobe Illustrator (ai).

Step 2 : Go to your tools, and you'll notice on line segment tool, there's more extra tools. click on the Rectangular Grid tool.
*we will be using that tool to do 8bit design.

Step 3 : Using your mouse/pen, click and drag the Rectangular tool u have selected, and while you're using the tool, REMEMBER! use arrow on your keyboard to control the x-axis and y-axis. With this you will be able to control how many boxes/grid you prefer for your design.

Step 4 : After done setting up your grid, u may be needed to go to your Fill and change the lines into flat color. shortcut : (SHIFT + X).
*you need to use this method so you can create your 8bit design much easier! if not you have to start over again.

Step 5 : Moving on to step 5, while still selecting the grids, go to Object>Expand. You need to expand the grids so you can use each boxes seperately.

Step 6 : After done expand the grids into boxes, u will be needing this secret weapon to seperate the boxes! Go to Window>Pathfinder or (CTRL + SHIFT + F5 [Win])

Step 7 : A pathfinder selections will appear, while still selecting the grids (DO NOT LET GO yet!),
use the "Divide" selection.
*this will seperate your boxes

Step 8 : Okay, we are almost done with all these steps, after divided you boxes, u may need to turn down the opacity of your boxes so you can see the design you wanted to make.
*don't worry, this will not effect your color of the design

Step 9 : Using "Direct Selection Tool", Select the boxes out side or inside the design and DELETE the boxes.
(*REMEBER! only leave the boxes that shaped your design!)

Step 10 : Repeat Step 9 untill you finish. and leave the boxes that shaped your design. this may takes some of your time.

Until you have done deleting the boxes, then Turn back the Opacity to 100% . and you will have your 8bit design !
