Title
"A 20 cent crayon"

In this week, I am going to draw 5 stages of an object changing, and the object I chosed is a crayon I bought a week ago as I thought it could be useful for this course. And who knows, I already needed to use it on the first week's exercise and now for the second exercise which is documenting an object change in time.
Image 1: Brand new out of the box
Details: Sharp tip, clean paper wrapped around the crayon, sharp edges on the tip and the back.
Image 2: First 5 minutes of using
Details: Slightly blunt tip, clean paper wrapped around the crayon, sharp edges on the tip and the back.

This is after the first 5 minutes of trying out the crayon on a random paper to test it out for the first time out of the box.
Image 3: First day of using
Details: Blunt tip, slightly dirty paper wrapped around the crayon, sharp edges on the tip and the back.

This is after finishing the first exercise (W1), very noticeable blunted tip as I did some shape colouring which colour quite some area.
Image 4: Second time using it
Details: Round tip, dirty paper wrapped around the crayon, slightly blunt edges on the back.

I took it out from the box to use it for the second time for some random drawings and the tip has already been used quite some area that's why it pretty much round shaped and because I wanted to draw a finer line with it so I used the back of the crayon as well just to draw a finer line, so the back of the crayon has a small blunt on it.
Image 5: Finished using for the second time

Details: Round tip, dirty and loose paper wrapped around the crayon, blunt edges on the back.

Because I don't have a sharpener for the crayon, that's why I kept using the back of the crayon to draw finer line, therefore I created few blunt spots on the back of the crayon. And probably because of switching different crayons and long period of using, the paper wrapped around the crayon started getting loose and dirty.
Tools & Materials used:
2B pencil, Mechanical pencil, Ruler, Eraser, Protractor

Technique used:
counter, hatching, cross-hatching
Small Reflection:
I was glad that I asked my tutor Chris for my Week 1 exercise for some feedback and he introduced me the isometric and axometric drawing technique which I get to try it on this week's drawing. Starting by drawing a cuboid then a cylinder inside the cuboid and start illustrating the crayon. I was surprised the shape of the crayon came out quite well. Then I try my best to shade as accurate as possible which I think there is still place for improvement but definitely a little better than the first weeks drawing.
