I got the chance to sneak a portrait of my friend Juan into this series of illustrations promoting the NY Times coverage of the 2014 World Cup. These are based on poll responses to the questions “which country has the most devoted fan base” (Colombia) “who plays the most beautiful game of football?” (Brazil) “which team are you routing against?” (Iran, USA, Argentina.)
