DESCRIPTION

The project is an exploration center in Siwa Oasis in Marsa Matrouh Governorate in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The project aims architecturally to re-explore the extent of the impact of the raw material on the architectural and urban product in turn, by using the natural and local materials of the region and taking into account reducing the use of cement as much as possible.

The project also opens the horizon to discover a different area culturally and climatically, such as Siwa Oasis. All through the Center for the Exploration of the Sky and Outer Space. The center achieves, in its two parts, spaces for local researchers, travelers looking for relaxation and exploration, and lovers of sky photography

Siwa Oasis has its historical value, as its architecture is part of the Berber architecture, which gives the local Siwa architecture a great reputation and historical value, which makes it not need any grafting from the western urban architecture.

The architectural design of the project aims to work in the optimal way with the natural and local environment of the region, where the natural environment is characterized as a desert environment with a dry continental climate, and the local nature of the population, as it has a long historical culture, customs and traditions of different and distinctive character.
