The brief: We were asked to create a typographic poster, using our own choice of quote. We were marked against choice of media, design and typeface, in consideration to the meaning of the quote.
My response: I created an embossed piece using a gold stock from GFSmiths Specials Range. I chose gold as I thought it was relevant to the quote I used, the idea of embossing was to make the text look like a cobbled path - which also influenced the layout of the type. The typeface is based around "Landon" but has been re-worked and hand-rendered. The outcome of the lettering is not perfect, but what cobblestone path is...?
