Desiring Machines
There is a special kind of amusement that comes from seeing things work, functionate (without functionality), connect, run, ultimately move with, in connection with, or simply move. It is curious how a "naked" machine shows relationships of movement, reinforced movement, blockages and interruption of movement, chain of active and reactive forces, causal and abstract relationships. It feels like watching a movie about different kinds of non-human relationships. Pre-judgemental relationships, non rational encounters, naked forces, action-action-action, impersonal rhythms.
