Social media is extremely prominent in today's world; It has made connecting and communicating with friends so easy, that people are physically becoming more distant and more introverted from one another. Spotify, for the first time in a long time, hopes to bring people closer again. What if love could be found through a playlist? What if two strangers waiting for a bus could enjoy a few melodies together? What if those strangers could laugh, regardless of religion or race? There's more than one way to share your music.
 
About me: Hi, my name is Jake Simmonds and I am a 20 years old creative (web designer, marketer, advertiser) living in Lincoln, UK. I want to make a change in advertising. Huge companies that have the ability to call upon the best advertisers in the world settle on using a cat for their mobile phone company, or a bear for a yogurt producer or (insert animal here) for (insert company here). One thing I know is that I won't buy a phone from O2 because they have a cat in their ad (the concept is good, but really?). I certainly don't hate cats, bears or dogs, for the record. I believe my work to be original and simple, and I hope that this ad for Spotify will not only inspire people to physically interact more, but also be the beginning of something new. Thank you.
