A few years ago, my sister took me to my first Bleachers concert. I was nervous to go as I only knew a few of their songs. I did not know how it was going to go, being surrounded by a room full of people belting out words to a bunch of songs that I didn't know in unison. It remained nerve wracking for all of about one song. I realized how great this band is as well as the community that have created around them.
Since that first concert, I have returned to their shows. The show that I saw on the water in Portland, Maine was life changing. I can't think of a time that I felt such a rush. The concert was unforgettable. So unforgettable, that my brain has been trying to think of ways to showcase such an incredible night. This idea started with a very rough sketch. I knew the mood that I was going for from the very first moment. I wanted to use a photo that I captured at this concert and pair it up with some of my favorite lyrics.
This powerful concert turned wall art, has inspired the idea of a concert poster series. Stay tuned for more!
