Homebird is a typeface that fosters a sense of hope and positivity, specifically designed to provide comfort and encouragement during the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The design is based on the humanist sans serif style, with changing some of the forms such as the 'e' to a curvier design to emphasize its friendliness. I made this typeface for my graduation project of the Visual Communication Design department.

This projects introduces a set of Homebird typeface merch, that I made by using letter shapes as the only graphic element, through the reinterpretation of letters: deconstruction, repetition, patterning, and iconization. Merch items are also decorated with lighthearted and uplifting phrases that amplify the font's hopeful message. The purpose of these items is to decorate and set up a cozy desk in one’s own room.
