I Started from a rough sketch, as I always do, when the logo started to design itself.

Once I settled on the final logo I had to think about the colors that I wanted to include, I wanted to really drive the "roofing and construction" feel that was needed. I also thought about how the logo will be seen on things used in that field, like shirts and company trucks.
