A final book illustration project at Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts
I always loved making colorful illustrations, storyboards, and character concept arts. To me, the storytelling element in arts attracts me the most. Why are those characters standing there? What are they doing? What lead them to this decision? That's what inspired me to draw this book. To create illustrations that tell a story is the thing I want to do the most at the moment
My strength has been drawing humans only, but in this project, I decided to give it a try drawing the fur friends. So that I can challenge myself with different shapes and silhouettes of different animals while still trying to maintain their characteristic. It was also the first time I'd drawn this much background. It was an exhausting experience yet so delightful to try new things
