PADUN (Ukrainian for that which falls) — a ‚living’ minimalist sofa which consists of amorphous cushions. Like water, they pour over the wooden frame and edge forming a distinct living shape.
Conceived by Victoria Yakusha, founder of FAINA, PADUN sofa is a reflection on the falling, shifting shape of water. The idea behind PADUN embodies FAINA’s live design philosophy — an approach to design inspired by an innate connection to a natural world and working with living materials.
With PADUN series — the traditional notion of a sofa is reenvisioned. Like water, the design piece adapts to any space in an array of modular possibilities.
