Client: Gammelstilla Whisky AB
Project group: Design Director, Jesper Tullback. Watercolor illustration, Karolina Eriksson. Copywriter, Marie Kry
Mission: The dream of producing your own whisky was so inspiring for a group of enthousiasts in Gästrikland, Sweden, that they decided to start their own small-scaled distillery. While anticipating the whisky that needs several years of storage, they now charge a collection spiced schnapps - a traditional Scandinavian drink. The first one out on the market is an aquavit flavored with cumin, dill, fennel and anise. It is a classic aquavit but in way that Gammelstilla prefer it.
Solution: The design of Gammelstilla Aquavit is sprung from a traditional style. The logo should appear posturous and give reminiscent of a hand-engraved printing sheet. To signal that this truly is a unique product, a watercolor illustration was placed to ”embrace” the bottle. In this illustration you will find the spices in this aquavit. Thoughts should go to the Swedish holidays when schnapps traditionally is served. The bottle is sealed with a tamper-evident seal over the cork. The bottles are there individually numbered with pencil, all to show that this product is entirely made by hand.
