Les Souverains is a coffee set inspired by divinity and symbolism.
It consists of a carafe, coffee cups, creamer and a sugar bowl. The design of every single piece is very specific and strong and every object could in my opinion stand alone as a solitare. (The French name Les Souverains means a monach or sovereign..)
Despite this fact, I tried to create a cohesive set, that includes visually connected objects
in harmony. There is a certain leitmotive that goes through the whole work, playing with an idea
of worship and divinity. I tried to apply this inspiration into the set through selected symbols, appearing in detailes and shapes, as well as through the idea of a morning coffee as a certain ritual.
The service includes elements of Greek mythology -the Mercury‘s wings, the sun chariot...- as well
as religious motives and a touch of antiquity. I tried to design an exlusive coffee service, that would tempt
to be used and serve as a perfect part of a morning ceremony to gain energy and welcome a new day.
