Case Study Reservation App
Mavi Pesca by Davide Giuliano
Project Overview
Project Summary
The Mavi Pesca Reservation App was developed to address the challenge of managing and preventing bulk orders from clients requiring fish for their restaurants or shops. By introducing a C2C reservation system, the app emphasizes organization, order variety, and order monitoring to enhance the seafood procurement experience for both buyers and sellers.
Role and Duration
As the designer on this project, my responsibilities included conceptualizing, designing, and implementing the user interface and user experience of the Mavi Pesca Reservation App. I worked on this project over a span of 3 months, from ideation to implementation.
The Problem
In the absence of a dedicated procurement system, Mavi Pesca encountered inefficiencies in managing bulk orders from restaurant and shop owners. The lack of an organized platform led to difficulties in order tracking, limited order variety, and overall operational inefficiency. The need for a solution to streamline the procurement process and enhance user experience prompted the development of the Mavi Pesca Reservation App.
Goals
1. Enable restaurant and shop owners to place organized and varied orders seamlessly.
2. Provide a monitoring system for clients to track the status of their orders in real-time.
Design Process
User Flow Design
I developed a detailed user flow to map out the comprehensive journey. This flow intricately outlines the steps from registration to placing an order, providing a clear overview of the entire process.
Wireframing and Prototyping
Created LF and HF wireframes to outline the app's structural layout, emphasizing key features and interactions.
Collaboration with Development Team
1. Worked closely with the development team to ensure seamless communication and understanding of design specifications.

2. Conducted regular meetings and discussions to address any implementation challenges and refine design elements for practical development.
Visual Design
Applied a clean and intuitive visual design to enhance the overall user experience, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing interface.
Anticipated Result
While the Mavi Pesca Reservation App is in the early stages of implementation, we anticipate the following transformative impacts on the seafood procurement experience:
Expected Organizational Efficiency Improvements:
1. Projected reduction in order processing time by an estimated 30%.
2. Anticipated enhancement of inventory management through the introduction of real-time tracking.
Projected Increase in Order Variety:
Expected growth in the variety of available seafood products by approximately 40%.
Anticipated User Monitoring Enhancements:
Anticipated empowerment of clients to monitor their orders, with an expected increase of approximately 25% in customer satisfaction.
Hypothetical Success Metrics
Even in the absence of concrete data, hypothetical success metrics would include:
Expected Impact on Conversion Rate:
Projected percentage increase in successful reservations compared to historical benchmarks.
Anticipated Growth in User Engagement:
Expected tracking of the average time spent on the app per user to gauge potential increased user engagement.
